Contemporary Landscape Painting
Four Fridays, August 30 - September 20: 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Instructor: Lauren Szabo
Through demonstrations and one-on-one tutoring, students will investigate today's natural, urban and hybridized landscape within approaches of contemporary painting from observation. With these themes in mind, students will create a body of work communicating their individual and/or collective perception. Formal issues will include the use of color, paint handling, value, and composition. Class discussions and critiques will enhance studio time. Individual portfolio progress will be emphasized.
Instructor: Lauren Szabo graduated with a BFA in Illustracion from California College of the Arts and received an MFA Fellowship from San Francisco Art Institute for graduate study in painting. Website: LaurenSzabo.com
